Members of the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear company (CBRN), within the 1st Infantry Brigade (1stIBde), marked May 9 – the Day of the Unit, with a military ceremony at barracks Chojlija.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Commander of the 1stIBde, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski, Chiefs of Sections in the 1stIBde Command and Staff, CBRN Officer in the OC and 1stIBde unit commanders.
During the ceremony Captain Genc Dilaveri was appointed Company Commander. He expressed gratitude for being entrusted with such responsible duty, and pointed out he would continue with dedicated work. He took over the duty company commander from Captain Ivan Zhezhov, who at present is attending training in the USA. Captain Genc Dilaveri’s previous appointment was Chief of CBRN Analysis Centre in the CBRN Company.
In his speech on the occasion of the Day of the Unit, the Commander of the 1st IBde, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski pointed out the achievements of the unit, as well as forthcoming tasks and obligations.
The unit consists of highly trained personnel capable to provide, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection to Army units, as well as civilian structures in the country.
On the occasion, acknowledgments and incentives for unit members were given.
