A military ceremony was held today at the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje on the occasion of the change of command at the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion (RecceIntelBn). The duty Commander of the RecceIntelBn was taken over by Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Cvetkovski from Lieutenant Colonel Nikolcho Jovanov. Until now Lieutenant Colonel Cvetkovski served as a training officer in the Training and Exercises Department in J-7 in the General Staff of the Army and President of the Military Sports Council at the Ministry of Defense and the Army.
At the ceremony, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski took the unit’s flag from the outgoing commander and handed it over to the incoming commander.
In his address, General Gjorgoski thanked the outgoing commander for his efforts to strengthen and enhance the training of the entire unit’s personnel, as well as for the successful implementation of all resulting tasks. He wished the incoming commander to continue on the path of success and to make an effort to strengthen combat readiness, training and discipline in the unit.
In his address, Lieutenant Colonel Jovanov thanked all service personnel of the unit for their cooperation so far and urged them to continue as before and with greater enthusiasm to enhance the unit’s training. The incoming commander, Lieutenant Colonel Cvetkovski, emphasized in his speech that in the future he will strive to strengthen human and material-technical capacities and capabilities, through increase of physical fitness and team spirit.
