Today, 27 August 2025, the Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, held a farewell meeting with the outgoing non-resident Defense Attaché of the Federal Republic of Germany accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia, Lieutenant Colonel Hans-Peter Wamsler, who executed this duty from his post in Tirana, Republic of Albania.
General Lafchiski expressed his gratitude to Lieutenant Colonel Wamsler for his commitment and contribution in promoting and advancing bilateral cooperation.
Also present at the meeting was the newly appointed Defense Attaché of the Federal Republic of Germany accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia, Lieutenant Colonel Guido Altendorf, who will assume this duty in the period ahead. Both sides reaffirmed their shared determination to continue the successful cooperation and further strengthen the partnership between the two armies.
As part of the visit, the outgoing and the newly appointed Defense Attachés also met with the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, where they exchanged views on deepening cooperation and joint activities.
