On 11 December 2025, a delegation from the Embassy of the United Kingdom visited the Artillery Battalion at the “Mirche Acev” barracks in Prilep. The delegation was led by His Excellency the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Matthew Lawson, accompanied by the Defense Project Manager Ms. Lidija Ognenova, the Second Secretary Mr. Toby Oshilaya, and the Communications Manager Ms. Bela Trenevska-Shotorovska.
During the visit, the Deputy Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Colonel Blerim Ismaili, attended as a representative of the 1st Infantry Brigade. The delegation from the Embassy of the United Kingdom was briefed on the mission, capacities and capabilities of the unit, followed by a visit to the memorial room within the barracks.
As part of the visit, on the previous day a reception was hosted by the Municipality of Bitola at the “Officers’ House” in Bitola, attended by the Army service personnel.
At the end of the visit, the Commander of the Artillery Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Sashko Paleski, presented a souvenir to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Matthew Lawson, as a token of appreciation.
