On the occasion of the Day of the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski”, an institution that for more than three decades has served as a pillar of the Macedonian military education system, a delegation consisting of the Minister of Defence Vlado Misajlovski, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army Major General Sashko Lafchiski and the Dean of the Military Academy Colonel Nenad Taneski laid fresh flowers today at the monument of the patron of the Academy in the barracks “Goce Delchev” in Skopje.
As part of the ceremony and in honour of the patron of the Academy, a memorial room dedicated to General Mihailo Apostolski was officially opened. The room is devoted to his life, achievements and his significant contribution to the development of the Macedonian military history and military thought.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to the development and promotion of the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski,” plaques and certificates of appreciation were awarded during the ceremony.
The marking of the Day of the Academy reaffirms its important role in educating and developing professional military leaders who are prepared to respond to contemporary security challenges and the needs of the Army.
