From 29 September to 2 October 2026, a Command Post Exercise (CPX), combined with a computer-assisted exercise using the JCATS (Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation) system, was conducted at the Simulation Centre of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), at the “Aleksо Demnievski-Bauman” Barracks in Veles.
The exercise was attended by personnel from the Command and Staff of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, part of the 1st Infantry Brigade, with the aim of enhancing their ability to work as a team throughout the military decision-making process, as well as improving their level of training in the integration and synchronization of combat operational systems, planning and execution of logistic support during stabilization operations, and establishing and employing tactical communications links.
In addition to personnel from the 2nd Infantry Battalion, personnel from the Simulation Centre also participated in the exercise, primarily simulation system operators, who provided support during the execution of the training activities.
The exercise enabled the assessment and enhancement of the knowledge and capabilities acquired, while the lessons identified will be incorporated into the planning and conduct of future exercises at the Simulation Centre, as well as into the training of other units of the 1st Infantry Brigade.
