Center for Electronic Reconnaissance

According to the strategic defence review, the mission of the Centre for Electronic Reconnaissance (CEI) in peace and war is gathering intelligence through electronic reconnaissance of EMS designed for early warning and protection of the armed forces, as well as collecting data relevant to the safety and defence of the Republic.

Basic tasks arising from the mission of the unit are:

• Electronic support of the forces to effectively deploy the fighting force;
• Electronic support in securing facilities of importance for the defence;
• Electronic interference in the electromagnetic spectrum;
• Electronic protection of the forces;
• Electronic support of the cooperative defence actions in case of an attack on the Republic;
• Electronic support on the Army units when sent to missions outside the territory of the Republic.

Major Igor Bosheski

Major Igor Bosheski was born on 18.05.1977 in Skopje. After graduating High School at ETUC “Mihajlo Pupin” in Skopje he continued his studies at the Military Academy “Mihajlo Apostolski“ in Skopje. He started his career in 2002 as a Platoon Commander and platoon analytic of electronic intelligence. During his career he has been assigned to several command and staff duties in the unit. Last year he was Deputy Commander of the Center of Electronic Reconnaissance.

He has completed several courses within his field of expertise, electronic warfare and cyber security, in-country and abroad. As a result of his work, he has been awarded several times. He can speak English fluently, and can understand Italian and Albanian. He is married, with two children.
