Before New Year’s holidays on the 27.12.2013, the cadets at the Cadet Training Center (CTC) within Training Command and Doctrine organized a humanitarian activity in the Special Elementary School “Zlatan Sremac” in Skopje.
Future officers of ARM and the Commander of CTC lieutenant colonel Zvonimir Saveski showed self-initiative by collecting money from all employees in the military barracks “Goce Delcev”, Military Academy, and Center for Electronic Surveillance. The cadets gave up their daily snacks for a week, their new notebooks in order to make 135 New Year’s packets for the children.
The cadets visited the school and attended the New Year’s show organized by the students and teachers of the school which was a way to thank them for their New Year’s gifts, including a new audio-video system as a teaching aid.
The students were very happy to be visited by the ‘soldiers’ as the children called them, and saluted them with a military salute wishing to be visited again.
