The servicemen of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia gave their contribution and support to the environmental event “Macedonia – land of flowers, Macedonia – land of roses”. The event happened on the 21st of March in Veles as part of the national environmental day.
The participants of the event were some of the officers and soldiers who voluntarily serve in the ranks in the Individual Training Center. The officers and the soldiers together with a big number of students and representatives from the local government planted roses on different locations in town. These locations were on the public areas such as parks, kindergartens, schools and any other places where children play and live. The Army of the Republic of Macedonia servicemen from the barracks in Veles planted 600 roses on the main street in the city as well as in the youth park.
Taking part in this activity Training and Doctrine Command gave its contribution in the improvement of the environment in Veles. The event is planned to become traditional and more massive, stated the organizers, representatives from the ministry for protection of the environment. Training and Doctrine Command showed that it is always ready and prepared to give its contribution to this and similar kinds of events.
