The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, together with the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, and commanders of Army units, visited members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group (LIBG), who were carrying out their final preparations for the upcoming NATO evaluation at the Army Training Area “Krivolak” today.
The purpose of the visit was to conduct a direct inspection of the unit’s readiness, which will undergo a Combat Readiness Evaluation, in accordance with the assessment standards for land commands and units of NATO’s Allied Command Operations (CREVAL). The evaluation will take place from 20 to 23 April 2026.
The capability target evaluation of the LIBG will be conducted as part of the exercise “Shine 26”, which will be held from 19 to 27 April 2026 at the ATA “Krivolak”.
