Today, October 15 2013 (Wednesday), the evaluation of the light maneuver treatment facility of ARM started at the Training Centre “Pepelishte”, which is part of the exercise “Macedonian Flash -9”. Evaluations are conducted according to the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept, and by NATO evaluation team, which today was evaluating the interoperability and operational capability of the treatment facility, as a major prerequisite for conducting the following levels of evaluation, under this concept.
According to the exercise scenario, the object of evaluation was the implementation of standard operating procedures for first aid, admission, triage, surgical treatment and stabilization, in conditions with massive number of seriously injured people in the light maneuver treatment facility and medical evacuation by air, using the necessary treatment with higher level of medical care.
NATO assessment – Level 1 is essential for the light maneuver treatment facility, because a unit of this type is evaluated for the first time, which is declared in reference to missions led by NATO, EU and UN. Today, the Chief of General Staff of ARM Lt. Col. General Goranco Koteski was at the Army Training Area “Krivolak”, who was accompanied by Commander of JOC Major General Metodija Velickovski and the Commander of the 1st Mechanized infantry brigade, Brigadier General Pavle Arsoski.
However, within the civil-military cooperation, today the participants of the exercise “Macedonian Flash -9” donated snacks to the children from the secondary state school for education and rehabilitation “Iskra” in Stip. For the demonstrated humanity, the principle of “Iskra”, Stip, expressed her gratitude to the ARM members by presenting handmade artwork.
