Early in the morning today, 03 October, 2017, the Ranger Company (RCoy) successfully marched from the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje to the Army Training Area “Krivolak” where, in the fictional area of operations, they would implement the planned system for a continuous updating of the current operation and thereby, direct the maneuvers towards proper mission accomplishment.
At the Army Training Area “Krivolak”, the Ranger Company will be evaluated in accordance with the NATO Operational Capability Concept through dealing with several events and incidents where they would carry out the following tasks: reaction to contact, dealing with an identified Improvised Explosive Device (IED), artillery attack to a base, CBRN defence, casualty evacuation, reaction to an ambush, defence of a base, combat patrol and etc.
At the same time the evaluation of the Medium Infantry Battalion Group (MIBG) has begun, which will be carried out through the execution of the following tasks: dealing with protesters and riot control, patrolling and setting up a checkpoint, securing a base, setting up a cordon, searching and etc.
Until the end of the day, other planned activities will be realized, in accordance with the list of events and incidents. The assessment will continue the following day.
