On May 15, 2014 at the “Chede Filipovski Dame” barracks in Kichevo within the exercise “Fast Lynx14” the assessment of the company for force protection EUBG 2014-2 continued.
The exercise continued in the morning hours with occupation of the base by the EUBG company. Implementation of regular tasks, patrolling in a specified zone and control the entry and exit from the classified zones are the activities that may be perceived these days at the imaginary base, where the EUBG 2014-2 Command is located.
One platoon of the company was engaged in escorting a convoy consisting of several vehicles with humanitarian aid for displaced people envisaged with the scenario of the exercise.
The activities are being continued with the pace planned in the afternoon as well as the evening hours. The mobility of the staff and the technology provide a sense of realistic conditions as if it were far away from Macedonia where our peacekeepers contribute to peacekeeping.
By the end of the day the project was implemented in the area of civil-military cooperation for the donation which includes a full day of snack food items for the people with disabilities from the daycare center in Kichevo.
“The greatness is in humanity” was the message in capital letters which stood on one of the walls in the center. The smile on the face of the children in the center gave a sense of satisfaction with the donation, which confirms humanity of the ARM members.
