At the same time, he stressed that the upcoming exercise is an excellent opportunity to perform the collective training of the units as a form of adoption of NATO standards, and the training of staff procedures in NATO-led operations, which will contribute to the strengthening of their combat readiness.
During the visit, Brigadier General Azim Nuredin along with the director of the exercise, Colonel Zvonko Majstorski conducted a tour of the military exercise management, during which a presentation of the exercise and the activities was given by the exercise headquarters.
The exercise was preceded by months of individual and collective preparations, in order to carry out training and exercises in different situations, according to the list of NATO tasks in carrying out peace support operations.
The “Macedonian Flash 11” exercise is a live exercise, with troops in the field, based on a scenario for peace support operations led by NATO/EU and under the mandate of the UN, which should demonstrate the combat readiness of the declared units for use in NATO-led operations.
