Today, 5th October, 2015, at the Army Training Area Krivolak, within the exercise “Macedonian Flash – 11” started NATO-assessment level 2 of the Military Police Company. Self-assessment level 1 of the Ranger company, part of the Special Operations Regiment begins tomorrow.
The assessment of Military Police Company started in the garrison in Skopje, which is a peace time location where units are assessed. The assessment started with a briefing given to the director of the exercises Colonel Zvonko Majstorski about the aims, phases and methods of assessment. The purpose of this part is to assess combat readiness and ability to carry out the mission of Military Police Company and Ranger Company. The assessment is performed in accordance with NATO Operational Capability Concept in the following 5 areas: planning, operations, logistics, communications and administration. The assessment is conducted by assessment team composed of national assessors and seven NATO observers from three NATO countries.
Team leaders and adequate number of assessors are appointed for each area, depending on the scope of assessment. The assessment is carried out in two phases assessment in peace time locations and on the field. At the end of the assessment a formal report will be signed by NATO observers and assessment directors and then it will be handed in to the assessed units.
This assessment represents completion of an assessment of the declared Military Police Company, with which it will be interoperable with NATO standards, ready to perform any duties and tasks received.
