In accordance with the Bilateral Cooperation Plan with the Republic of Italy for 2025, in the period from 27 October to 7 November 2025, a seminar in the field of civil-military cooperation (CIMIC), on the topic of “CIMIC Tactical Operator”, was held at the Army House.
The Chief of J-9/General Staff of the Army, Colonel Arben Jakupi, gave an introductory speech, emphasizing that the this activity is part of the continuous process of fulfilling NATO capability goals for building the Army’s capacities in the field of CIMIC. He also expressed gratitude to the guests from the Republic of Italy for their ongoing cooperation.
The delegation of the Republic of Italy was led by a CIMIC team from the Multinational CIMIC Group -MNCG, Motta di Livenza, Italy. Given the fact that the Republic of Italy participates in numerous missions and operations led by NATO and the EU in the Balkans, Africa and the Middle East, they have exceptionally experienced personnel who have participated in CIMIC-related missions. The team that conducted the seminar selflessly shared its knowledge and experience through numerous group exercises, during which the Army personnel demonstrated a high level of readiness and commitment to improving individual CIMIC skills for participating in mission. The seminar was attended by 30 members of the Army who are assigned to appropriate CIMIC duties.
The activity is a continuation of the previous fruitful cooperation and implementation of bilateral engagements with the Republic of Italy, which are planned to continue throughout 2026.
