On the occasion of the end of military service and retirement of the active military personnel from the General Staff and in accordance with the standard operating procedures for the retirement of the military and civilian personnel in the Army, today in the military camp “Vasko Karangelevski” in Ohrid, an appropriate ceremony is being held.
At the retirement ceremony, the persons who fulfilled the conditions in the current year were awarded by Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski and Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska, with plaques and badges for their contribution during their working careers.
General Gjurchinovski and Minister Petrovska addressed the event on this occasion and thanked the former members of the Army, now retired persons, for the invested effort, commitment, and dedication to the work. They congratulated them on their retirement and wished them good health in their well-deserved retired life.
In this way, for the first time, with a prescribed procedure, the members of the Army were honoured with a special event, while initiating the creation of lasting relationships with former colleagues and after the formal end of their career in an organization that, due to its specifics, is distinctive and leaves a lasting mark in the life of each of its members.
At the ceremony, among the members of the Army who met the legal requirements for retirement was the former Director of General Staff, Major General Zoran Mileski.
