On 29 January 2026, at the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje, a Conference on International Military Cooperation was held, attended by numerous representatives from the organizational units of the General Staff and the directly subordinate commands and units. The Conference was organized by the Department for International Military Cooperation, in coordination with the Directorate for International Cooperation/MoD, the Directorate for Human Resources, Education and Training/MoD, and the U.S. Military Group.
The aim of the Conference was to familiarize the personnel and define the initial foundations of bilateral cooperation; to harmonize and integrate all elements in the preparation of certain documents in the field of international military cooperation; to define the tasks of the responsible officers and collaborators in the implementation of activities in the Republic of North Macedonia and abroad. Another important segment covered the planning of financial resources in accordance with the type of activities. At the very end of the Conference, regional and multilateral cooperation was also addressed, through which the participants gained a clearer picture of the benefits of the Army’s membership in regional initiatives such as the BCHOD’s Conference, the U.S.-Adriatic Charter, DECI.
