As part of the planned activities to visit Army garrisons and brief personnel, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, conducted a working visit today to the “Ilinden” barracks.
During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff met with members of the Logistics Base and the Signals Battalion, where he was briefed on the current situation, challenges, and priorities in the operation of both units. In his address to the personnel, Major General Lafchiski emphasized that belonging, effectiveness, and the continuous development of mental and physical readiness are the foundations upon which the strength and future of the Army are built. He stressed that these values strengthen security, confidence, and unity, reaffirming on a daily basis the dedication of Army personnel, where every effort is recognized and every step forward represents a shared success.
Special emphasis was placed on the crucial role of these units in supporting the Army, as well as on personnel training and readiness, the modernization of capacities, and the improvement of logistics and information systems. Visits to commands and units by the Chief of the General Staff will continue in the coming period, with tours of the remaining commands and units.
