The Army Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, met with the non- resident EU Defence Attaché, Colonel Pietro Mostardi, as part of the EU delegation visit to the Army today.
At the meeting they discussed the cooperation of the Army with the European Union, with an emphasis on the current and upcoming EU donations, in order to build the capacities and capabilities of the Army. They also discussed the participation of the Army in the EU/ALTHEA mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the opportunities for Army service members’ professional training and development at the courses and training centres supported by the EU.
At the Army General Staff the EU Defence Attaché, Colonel Pietro Mostardi, held a lecture on the topic “EU Security and Defence Policy, EU Military Headquarters and Military Committee and Current EU-led Operations and Missions”.
In the upcoming days, the EU Defence Attaché will visit the Balkan Medical Task Force at the Ilinden Barracks and the Engineers Battalion at the Chojlija Barracks.
