From July 14 to 17, 2025, a workshop on “Advanced Host Nation Support” was held at the Army House in Skopje.
The event was officially opened by Lieutenant Colonel Nikola Angelov, Deputy Chief of J4 of the General Staff of the Army, who welcomed the attendees and wished them a successful workshop. In addition to officers and non-commissioned officers from the logistics branch from various commands and units of the Army, the workshop was also attended by the Deputy Chief of the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation, a representative from the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia, representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Serbia, and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, the Ministry of Transport, and the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The workshop is an integral part of the NATO planning process in the field of logistics. The focus was placed on defining logistics objectives and capabilities, providing host nation support, and future planning of infrastructure needs. The workshop was led by Peter Venoa from the U. S. European Command (USEUCOM).
The activity was organized and hosted by the J-4/General Staff of the Army in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia.
