A delegation of the Association of the Patriotic War Volunteers and Veterans of the Republic of Croatia, which is on a two-day visit to the Republic of North Macedonia, as part of the cooperation with the Association of Defense and Security Veterans and Reservists of North Macedonia, visited the Army General Staff and had a meeting with the Director of General Staff, Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski today.
At the meeting between General Trajkovski and the representatives of the Association from Croatia, retired Lieutenant General Dr. Slavko Barikj, retired Brigadier Marin Gregorovikj, retired Brigadier Gjuro Tihomirovikj, the president of the Association of Veterans, retired Colonel prof. Dr. Temelko Risteski the role of these associations in security, defense and bilateral military cooperation between the two NATO member countries was discussed.
General Trajkovski informed the delegation about the activities of the General Staff, the transformation processes, the activities and operations of NATO in which the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia participates, as well as about the mutual military cooperation that we have with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia.
At the same time, it was concluded that such forms of cooperation and experience sharing not only improve the relations between the two countries, but through mutual debates, exchange of ideas and planned activities of the associations, certain security situations are pointed out, the most effective army plans are established, and the security in the region is improved.
Cooperation with these associations, whose members were former service personnel and prominent military leaders, by sharing their intellectual views and expertise, is always welcomed in the Army.
During their stay, besides this and meetings with the Association of Veterans, as their host, the Association from Croatia will also have meetings with representatives from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia Association of Generals.
