From 9 to 10 December, at the invitation of Admiral Pierre Vandier, Commander of NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT), the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, participated in the “Allied Warfare Development Conference” held in Norfolk, USA.
The “Allied Warfare Development Conference” was organized by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and served as an opportunity for national and NATO leaders to enhance their knowledge of how ACT contributes to credible defense and deterrence, as well as to explore ways to accelerate NATO’s transformation process as a military instrument of power.
As part of the program, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, held an official meeting with the Chief of Staff of NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (COS-ACT-Norfolk), Vice Admiral Simon Asquith, where they discussed the existing cooperation, current military-political topics, and future collaboration. Additionally, he had a protocol meeting with the National Liaison Representatives Dean (NLR), Danish Brigadier General Bo Engelbreth, to discuss the role of the NLR in ACT.
General Nuredin also met with the Croatian delegation, led by Major General Denis Tretinjak. During the meeting, recognition was presented to the Croatian National Liaison Representative, Colonel Mato Matanović, as a token of appreciation for the excellent cooperation so far.
On December 11, General Nuredin paid a working visit to the Liaison Representatives of the Republic of North Macedonia at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation. During the visit, the general was briefed on the current situation and discussed ongoing and future activities of the National Liaison Representatives.
