A joint training in navigation guidance of specialized teams from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Armed Forces of the United States, with overflights of military aircraft, was carried out today at the Army Training Area “Krivolak”.
During the training drill, through the simulation of close air support, two military aircraft from the US Air Force tested the capabilities of providing close air support and joint air control through the system of navigation guidance of land targets from the air.
The specialized teams of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia from the Operations Command and observers from the Ranger Battalion together with the US Air Force had the opportunity to practice coordinating, guidance in the air, close air support and guidance of land targets from the air.
Through such Air Force training drills during the past year, the training and full interoperability of not only the teams on the terrain but also of the formations involved in navigation, which are part of the joint control of the airspace, were fully confirmed.
This type of joint Air Force activities demonstrate our interoperability with NATO tactics, techniques and procedures, as well as the capacities of ATA Krivolak. At the same time, they confirm the unity and functioning of the collective defense system in maintaining a safe airspace of all NATO allies.
