Tomorrow, August 17 (Saturday), a central ceremony will take place in front of the buildings of the Ministry of Defense and the General staff on the occasion of the ARM day, August 18, with a commencement at 18.00.
The ceremony will welcome the President of the Republic of Macedonia and Supreme Commander, Gjorgje Ivanov, the President of the Parliament, Trajko Veljanoski, the Minister of Defense, Thalat Djaferi, the Chief of the General staff of the ARM, major-general Gorancho Koteski, former ministers of defense and chiefs of the General staff of the ARM, retired ARM generals, highly distinguished guests from several institutions in Republic of Macedonia, ambassadors and military attachés accredited in Republic of Macedonia and more.
According to the ceremony protocol, the present will be addressed by the President of Republic of Macedonia and the Minister of Defense. After the ceremony is concluded in the “Ilinden” barracks, 10 barrages from 12 artillery weapons will be fired to mark the ceremony closed. Journalists, cameramen and photo reporters are invited to follow and report on the event. Because of the entry procedures for the area in front of the Ministry of Defense and the General staff, all arrivals at the entrance should be no later than 17.30.
