According to a previously arranged plan for cooperation, from 9th to 11th October, a team of experts from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia and one representative of the nongovernmental organization “The International Trust for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance” will pay a working visit to the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
Service personnel of the General Staff of ARM and Joint Operations Command will participate in the expert talks and the topics that will be discussed include improving the maintaining system of the ammunition in ARM, methods and procedures for destruction of surplus ammunition, mines and explosive device, as well as modernization of the ammunition storage facility “Kriv Dol”.
The delegation and ARM representatives also paid a visit to the army ammunition storage facility “Erebino” and got familiar with its capacities and conditions for ammunition storage and maintenance, including the dismantling and destruction facility of ARM.
After the visit, the mutual cooperation regarding these issues is expected to improve and as a result ARM service personnel will receive training about destruction of ammunition, mines and explosive device and modernization of the storage facility “Kriv Dol” at ammunition storage facilities in the Republic of Slovenia.
