The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, who is on an official visit to the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, today had a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff, Admiral Sir Anthony Radakin.
General Gjurchinovski and Admiral Radakin discussed several issues of the bilateral military cooperation, as well as the participation in NATO activities and international operations. At the same time, the Chiefs confirmed the high level of military cooperation and the possibilities for its further strengthening. Admiral Radakin expressed his readiness to support the interoperability process.
During his stay in the United Kingdom, General Gjurchinovski also had an official meeting with Lord Stuart Peach, a special representative of the UK for the Western Balkans and former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. At the meeting with Lord Peach, they discussed the security challenges in the region and Europe in the context of the war in Ukraine, as well as the defence issues of mutual interest.
Earlier, the army delegation visited the Defence Academy in Shrivenham, as well as the Royal Air Force Boulmer, where General Gjurchinovski had meeting with the military authorities.
