One more Army team of 36 members from the Special Forces Battalion, trained for search and rescue in ruins, left from the barracks “Ilinden” to the Republic of Türkiye today, to participate in the humanitarian operation in the areas most affected by the catastrophic earthquakes.
When sending off the team, the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski instructed them to make the greatest effort and use their skills in the most professional manner to help the citizens of the allied Türkiye.
The Army team is sent after the Government has decided to provide additional aid, at the proposal of the Ministry of Defense.
Meanwhile, the Army team located in the city of Kahramanmaras is continuously engaged in field search activities, finding and extracting possible survivors, in the ruins caused by the catastrophic earthquakes.
