At the military barracks “Alekso Demnievski-Bauman”, Veles, there was a celebration for the Day of the Training Command and Doctrine (TRADOC).
The President of the Republic of Macedonia decreed the 15th of April as the Day of the Unit for the Training Command and Doctrine. It was the date when in 1992, the first recruits arrived to serve in the ranks in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia in the independent Republic of Macedonia.
This year, ARM celebrates the 25th anniversary of its foundation; therefore, on the Day of the Unit, the first recruit, Panche Jamandiev was invited to the celebration. The Chief of General Staff of ARM Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski presented him a Golden Badge for Partnership, Coordination and Cooperation.
According to the military protocol the Day of the Unit was celebrated with a ceremony when the TRADOC Commander Colonel Ljubencho Petrovski, said in his speech that TRADOC contributes to the development and maintenance of the army combat readiness with all its centers and training facilities.
At the ceremony, promotions, incentive awards and certificates of appreciation were announced including the announcement of the best sports team which won at the sports games held for celebrating the Day of the Unit. At the end of the ceremony there was a cultural and arts show.
There were a lot of guests at the ceremony including the Chief of General Staff of the Army of Republic of Macedonia, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, Generals of ARM, Commanders of the subordinate commands and units of GS of ARM, former Commanders and retired officers of TRADOC, representatives of civilian organizations which cooperate with ARM, as well as local officials.
