Today, the Minister of Defence, Vlado Misajlovski, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, visited the service personnel of the 3rd Infantry Battalion at the “Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu” barracks in Tetovo.
During the visit, the Commander of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Major Mile Stanoevski, delivered a briefing on the battalion’s participation in the ALTHEA and KFOR missions, as well as in NATO multinational forces deployed in Romania and Bulgaria. The commander also emphasized the unit’s domestic efforts, particularly in supporting the Ministry of Interior with southern border security, addressing national security threats, and reinforcing the protection of the Correctional Facility “Idrizovo”.
As part of their visit, Minister Misajlovski and General Lafchiski inspected several facilities within the Tetovo garrison that are scheduled for reconstruction. The initiative aims to improve living and working conditions for service personnel.
On this occasion, Minister Misajlovski emphasized that caring for the Army personnel is a priority for the Ministry, especially ensuring adequate working conditions, as each of them makes a significant contribution to the protection and security of the citizens.
