The Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, together with the Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, visited the Service Dog Breeding and Training Center today, February, 21. The center is located at the Gjorche Petrov barracks in Skopje.
During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff and the Minister were briefed on the tasks and challenges faced by the center. They also attended a presentation showcasing part of the training process with the service dogs.
In discussions with unit members, Major General Lafchiski and Minister Misajlovski praised their service and dedication to training the dogs, as well as their efforts in training instructors and soldiers to become service dog handlers for the needs of the Army and other institutions.
The Service Dog Breeding and Training Center, whose mission is to breed and train dogs for various purposes and to train instructors and soldiers as service dog handlers for the needs of the Army, was established in 1993, and since 1994 it has been located at the Gjorche Petrov barracks in Skopje.
