The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, today participated in the regular session of the NATO Military Committee (MC), in the format of Chiefs of General Staffs conducted via secured teleconference call due to current situation with COVID-19.
At the meeting of the highest military counseling body of the Alliance, led by MC Chairmen, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, in accordance with the agenda, Army Chiefs of GSs from 30 member states discussed NATO operations and missions, defence policies and future military defence concept of the Alliance.
After the completion of this virtual conference, which was also attended by the Supreme Commanders of the Allied Powers in Europe and the Allied Command Transformation, Generals Ted Waters and André Lanata, the Chairman Sir Stuart Peach in his speech addressed the conclusions from the meeting.
This is the second time the Chief of General Staff to participate in the session of the NATO MC as full-fledged member of the Alliance.
The Chiefs of Defence Military Committee meets twice a year, and once a year they meet in an allied member state.
