Chief of ARM General Staff, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, held a meeting with the newly appointed resident Defense Attaché of Romania, accredited for the Republic of Macedonia, Lieutenant Colonel Valentin Strimbeschi.
At the meeting, General Velichkovski welcomed Lt. Col. Strimbeschi to the Republic of Macedonia and expressed his hopes to intensify the bilateral cooperation between the two armies in the area of defense, which is going to contribute to strengthening regional safety and international peace and stability.
Furthermore, during todays visit to the General Staff, mutual readiness was expressed for deepening the cooperation in the area of training of personnel, and the capacities of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia and Romania.
This year the ARM servicemen participated in the military exercise “Saber Guardian-17” where Romania was a host, and also, as part of the member states of B-9 forum, it will take part in the “Carpathian Eagle-17” scheduled for October.
