The members of the Electronic Reconnaissance Center (CEI), in a symbolic way, obeying all measures and protocols to prevent the spread of the virus “COVID-19”, marked November 9 – the day of their unit.
Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, congratulating the Day of the unit, expressed gratitude to the members of the unit for their commitment and results achieved in facing the challenges they had in the past period. In addition, he noted the role of the Center in the current engagement in supporting the police in dealing with the migrant crisis. He also stressed the importance of developing the resources of this vital capacity for the Army and the Republic of North Macedonia, as a full member of NATO.
The Commander of CEI, Major Igor Bosheski, after a brief historical review, thanked for the efforts and maximum investments that members of this specific branch in the Army have made since its establishment, which made CEI a significant link in the defence system of the Republic of Macedonia. .
At the ceremony, on the occasion of the Day of the unit, congratulations and promotions were read, and at the same time incentive measures were awarded for successful execution of tasks.
By decision of the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the day of the CEI is set for November 9, the date when the branch Electronic reconnaissance and counter-electronic actions was established in 1995.
