The Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurcinovski, paid a one-day official visit to the KFOR command in Pristina. During the visit, General Gjurcinovski had a meeting with the KFOR Commander, Major General Michele Risi.
At the Pristina meeting, which is part of the planned annual meetings, they talked about the current security status of the region and the cooperation of the Army of Republic of North Macedonia with KFOR, and they talked about activities for mutual cooperation in the future.
The meetings of the highest rank chiefs of the Army and of KFOR are held twice a year, and are of utmost importance for the regional security status.
The contribution which Republic of North Macedonia has been making since 2007 through the Coordinative Center for Support for KFOR in transiting, customs procedure, use of Army capacities for medical evacuation if necessary and other needs in the field of logistic security is considered especially important by the NATO Command of the joint forces in Naples, which heads the peace forces of KFOR.
