Since yesterday, a delegation led by the ARM CHOD Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski has been in an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Today in Sarajevo, CHOD of ARM was received with military honours by Bosnia and Herzegovina Chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ante Jelech.
At the meeting, both generals agreed that the relation between the Republic of Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is a great example of cooperation in the region, in addition to this is the successful bilateral cooperation between the two armies. Besides making the bilateral cooperation more profound, the meeting also focused on common activities within the Adriatic Charter A5 and the mission “Resolute Support” in Afghanistan.
General Koteski expressed full support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in achieving the set goals as a current chairman of the Adriatic Charter and added that this year the Republic of Macedonia is hosting the meeting of A5 CHODs. General Koteski stressed readiness to provide assistance and open support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to NATO membership.
During his stay in Sarajevo, CHOD of ARM met with Bosnia and Herzegovina Minister of Defence Zekrijah Osmikj.
Today, as part of the visit of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Koteski visited ARM members deployed to the mission ALTHEA in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo. He laid a wreath of fresh flowers on the memorial dedicated to the members of ARM aviation brigade who were killed in a helicopter crash while returning from ALTHEA mission.
