Today, in the “Jane Sandanski” barracks in Shtip, in the presence of the Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski and the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, the formation of the designated forces with the strength of a reinforced company, which will participate in the exercise “Saber Junction 2025 (SJ-25)”, was held.
Part of the Light Infantry Battalion Group (LIBG) will participate in exercise, with the logistic support, as well as the required number of vehicles and materiel.
The Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski, who attended the event, told the soldiers to be proud to wear the army uniform and to represent the country to the allies.
“I wish you good health, demonstrate that we are as capable as the other countries, that we have the same quality,” the minister said. He added that the Ministry and the Army are ready to provide all necessary support for any challenge.
Addressing the members of the designated forces, the Chief of the Army General Staff emphasized: “This is the first time in the existence of the Army, a formation of this composition, a reinforced company with all maneuver elements, all combat support elements and what is most important to me, with a self-sustainability element is deployed to an exercise, and not just anywhere, but in the Federal Republic of Germany. You should be proud of what you have done and what you will do. You have made history.”
Exercise SJ 25 will be held from August 23 to September 18, 2025 in Hohenfels, Germany, under the organization of USAREUR – AF. The goal of the exercise is to develop professional and capable combat units to maintain a stable and secure environment, as well as to respond appropriately to threats to national security.
