Representatives of the Army Air Force of Republic of Turkey visited the Air Force Brigade in the barracks “Strasho Pindjur” in the period from 14th to 17th April 2014.
The visit is a part of the bilateral cooperation, and aims at exchange of experiences in the field of military aviation. During the visit, the guests were presented with the Air Force Brigade history, as well as with the available armaments and technology, after which it was discussed on a number of topics that are of interest to both armies.
The main topics discussed were: joint participation in peacekeeping missions with a helicopter detachment, a system for aircraft maintenance, a system for controlling and securing the airspace, aircraft modernization and more. A large part of the discussion was dedicated to the opportunities offered by the armed forces of the Republic of Turkey for training and retraining of members of the Air Force Brigade, given that the Republic of Turkey is a part of NATO and has an extensive experience in the development of military aviation.
During their stay the guests had the opportunity to see the Republic of Macedonia’s landmarks, and they visited the memorial room of Kemal Ataturk in the museum in Bitola. The visited the city of Ohrid, as well. Today, the delegation of the Air Force of the Republic of Turkey met the ARM Deputy Chief of Staff LTC General Naser Sejdini. During the visit the excellent cooperation of ARM with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey was confirmed once again, and in the future it will be expanded to include the military aviation as well.
