As part of their two-day official visit to Republic of North Macedonia, representatives from the North-Atlantic Committee spent the day at ‘Ilinden’ Military Barracks where their hosts were the Defense Minister Radmila Shekerinska and the Army General Staff Director, Major General Zoran Mileski.
The North-Atlantic Committee representatives were welcomed by the Special Operations Regiment Commander, Brigadier General Metodi Hadji Janev and the command staff.
The aim of this senior delegation was to recognize the unit’s capacities for taking part in some present and future NATO-led missions.
During the visit the delegation was presented with the achieved operational capacities of the light infantry company. The visitors had an opportunity to talk to some unit members and at the same time to witness their capabilities through methodical-demonstration exercise.
At the end of their visit, after seeing the conditions the North-Atlantic Committee representatives expressed their positive opinions.
