A military ceremony was held today at the “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” barracks in Veles to mark the handover of duties for the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). The duty of Commander was officially transferred from Colonel Vasko Kokolanski to Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, who was appointed to this position and promoted to the rank of Brigadier General by decree of the President and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova.
In his address, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, expressed gratitude to Colonel Kokolanski for his contribution to TRADOC, which was reflected in the command’s success and high standing. Congratulating Brigadier General Nuredini on his new position, General Lafchiski encouraged him, as the former Deputy Commandeer, to remain committed and determined, and to apply his knowledge and skills to lead the command toward progress and new achievements.
The incoming Commander, Brigadier General Nuredini, expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him to lead and command TRADOC. On behalf of all TRADOC personnel, he paid tribute to Colonel Vasko Kokolanski by awarding him a Plaque in recognition for his contribution to the development and progress of the unit, as well for his efforts in improving the quality of the combat training and his personal commitment to the achievements of the unit.
In his speech, Colonel Kokolanski thanked all TRADOC personnel for their dedication, pledging his continued support, and whished General Nuredini success in his new position. He also expressed confidence that TRADOC would grow into an institution that will play a strong role in strengthening and building the Army’s capabilities.
In addition to Major General Sashko Lafchiski, the ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense, Elfete Ismaili, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, Director of General Staff, Brigadier General Orce Jordev, 1st Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, representatives from the President’s Cabinet, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the General Staff, commanders of subordinate units, representatives from the military-diplomatic corps, local government, and other guests.
