Yesterday (17.05.2014), ARM service personnel, part of the humanitarian convoy of the Republic of Macedonia, safely arrived during the night in the Republic of Serbia.
Today, ARM service personnel successfully accomplished the tasks delegated to them by the local crisis centre for the area of the town Obrenovac. Most of the residents of the villages near Obrenovac which are affected by severe flooding have been evacuated today with ARM vehicles and motor boats. The aggregates and the other equipment that our service personnel brought have been used for the needs of the most important institutions and government buildings in the area. Yesterday, ARM also sent three thousand blankets to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Today, during a telephone conversation, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Serbia, General Ljubisha Dikovikh and the Chief of the Joint General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General, Anto Jelech, expressed their gratitude to the ARM Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski.
ARM service personnel, in the following days, will continue to assist and provide help in accordance with the needs and situation, and ARM will be ready to offer further assistance depending on the available resources and decisions of the institutions of the Republic of Macedonia.
