The fact that you coordinate the support for the allied forces transiting through our country and provide logistic support for the implementation of the largest military exercises conducted in this period, including the exercise ‘Flash 26’, of which we are especially proud, demonstrates your essential place within the defense system”, said Misajlovski.
The Minister also pointed out the trust that the citizens place in the Army, thanks to the support provided by the Logistics Base. “Your support in dealing with major natural disasters and crisis situations, as well as your assistance in the implementation of activities organized by various organizations and associations, enables the Army to stand with its citizens and serve as a pillar they can rely on in all situations”, he underlined.
In his address, General Nuredin stressed that the Logistics Base represents a key segment in the Army support system, emphasizing that without efficient and timely logistics, no task, exercise, or operation can be successfully carried out.
“Dedication, professionalism, and the ability to provide quick and efficient support represent an essential link in maintaining the operational readiness of the Army. Through your work, it is confirmed that logistics is not only support, but one of the main prerequisites for functional, prepared, and modern Army”, stated General Nuredin.
He expressed recognition to the members of the unit for their engagement in the execution of the daily tasks, international exercises, and support in dealing with the consequences of crisis and emergency situations.
The Commander of the Logistics Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, in his address highlighted that “Logistics is not only support, it is the bloodstream of every military organization – an invisible force that enables movement, supply, maintenance and functionality at all times and in every situation”. He further emphasized that “Strength doesn’t lie in individuals, but in teamwork and collective capacities, and that is precisely the strength of the Logistics Base”.
On the occasion of the Day of the unit, incentives, acknowledgements, and awards were presented during the ceremony.
The Logistics Base marks 20 May in remembrance of the Razlovci Uprising of 1876, when the first logistic preparations connected to the uprising began. By decision of the President and Commander-in Chief, this date was designated as the Day of the Logistics Base.
The primary mission of the Logistics Base is planning, organization, coordination and execution of the logistic support for the commands and units of the Army.
