CHOD, Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski is visiting Republic of Turkey Armed Forces (AF). At the general Staff of the Republic of Turkey AFin Ankara, CGS of ARM was cordially welcomed by General Necdet Özel.
During the meeting, apart from the bilateral cooperation with the AF of the Republic of Turkey, training and education of ARM servicemen within the Republic of Turkey AF was discusses. It was as well agreed doctors from ARM Military hospital to be able to specialize certain areas at the Military Medical Academy “GATA” among which to specialize for medical examinations of military air force staff. The future training of the Special Forces of both armies was as well discussed. Apart from the technical cooperation and support the Republic of Turkey AF give to ARM, a possibility for mutual participation in peace support operations was taken into consideration and opportunities for common cultural and social projects were reviewed.
General Koteski thanked his Turkish colleague for the generous and sincere support and help that ARM and the Republic of Macedonia receive from the Republic of Turkey in our efforts to become NATO member. The help that AF of the Republic of Turkey give ARM regarding equipment was stressed. General Özel expressed his satisfaction about the cooperation between the two armies in the area of military training and education.
This working visit of CHOD is a confirmation of the excellent cooperation between ARM and AF of the Republic of Turkey, a cooperation which is always improving.
