Sports competitions are traditionally part of the activities organized to mark the Army Day. With the final matches held from July 14-18, 2025, the most successful teams and individuals in the Army were announced.
The finals, held at the Military Stadium in Skopje as part of the program marking August 18 – the Army Day, featured numerous teams and participants from all Army units.
The following results were achieved in the disciplines of cross-country running (3 and 5 kilometers), futsal, basketball, volleyball, and table tennis:
Futsal:
- 1st place: Honor Guard Battalion
- 2nd place: 1st Infantry Brigade
- 3rd place: Special Forces Battalion
Basketball:
- 1st place: Special Forces Battalion
- 2nd place: Army General Staff
- 3rd place: Training and Doctrine Command
Volleyball:
- 1st place: 1st Infantry Brigade
- 2nd place: Army General Staff
Table Tennis:
- 1st place: Army General Staff
- 2nd place: 1st Infantry Brigade
- 3rd place: AF VING
Men’s Cross-Country Race – Team Results:

Men’s Cross-Country Race – Individual Results:
- 1st place: Captain Zhan Tosev (Honor Guard Battalion)
- 2nd place: Pvt. Trajche Ilievski (Training and Doctrine Command)
- 3rd place: Pvt. Hristijan Taneski (Special Forces Battalion)
Women’s Cross-Country Race – Team Results:
- 1st place: Special Forces Battalion
- 2nd place: Operations Command
- 3rd place: Training and Doctrine Command
Women’s Cross-Country Race – Individual Results:
- 1st place: MSgt. Marija Pelikon (Army General Staff)
- 2nd place: Capt. Dijana Lapevska (Operations Command)
- 3rd place: Sgt. Marija Dimeska (Special Forces Battalion)
The competitions were held in a spirit of sportsmanship and fairness. The best athletes and teams, who demonstrated that alongside regular duties at work, dedicate time to sports as part of military training, will be awarded appropriate recognitions as motivation to achieve even greater success.
