ARM Chief of General Staff Major General Vasko Gjurchinovski had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of France in the Republic of Macedonia, HE Christian Thimonier and Colonel Fabrice Duda, non-resident Defense Attaché accredited for the Republic of Macedonia.
At the meeting, General Gjurchinovski and Ambassador Thimonier discussed the bilateral cooperation between the ARM and the French Armed Forces, as well as joint activities that would further improve the military cooperation.
They also discussed the activities of the bilateral cooperation plan for this year, which, besides the participation of the ARM members in French language courses, includes activites in the field of military aviation, as well as the necessary procedures for possible joint participation in peacekeeping missions led by the United Nations.
General Gjurchinovski thanked the Republic of France for the constant support of the Republic of Macedonia in its efforts to join NATO, and pledged to further strengthen it through concrete projects and activities. There was an invitation to meet at the level of chiefs of staff of the two armies. On this occasion, the ARM Chief of Staff wished success to Colonel Fabrice Duda in the performance of his duties to which he was appointed from July this year.
