Today, July 13th, ARM Chief of General Staff LTC General Gorancho Koteski had a meeting with Deputy Chief of Section for Planning, Policy and Partnership of the US Command in Europe, Brigadier General William Hall.
At the meeting, which is a part of the visit of US Deputy Assistant of Defence, Dr. Evelyn Farkas, Generals Koteski and Hall discussed about the cooperation between the US Command for Europe and ARM, and the ways to promote it. Particular importance was given to training, exercises and equipping ARM.
During the visit, General Hall was acquainted with the process of ARM transformation and the process towards NATO membership, as well as with the ARM participation in international missions. Special emphasis was given to the next steps of the Army transformation, and the preparation and evaluation of declared units. On this occasion it was stated that with the implementation of the partnership goals ARM promoted interoperability with NATO and equally participates in NATO-led operations.
Towards the end of the meeting General Hall greeted ARM and expressed his gratitude regarding the support of ARM to NATO in peacekeeping missions, in particular the forces engaged in Afghanistan.
