Today, the ARM servicemen met the Minister of Defense Radmila Shekerinska and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of ARM Major General Muhamet Racaj, before going to the Resolute Support Mission.
The Minister of Defense wished them a successful and safe mission which will give them an opportunity to gain valuable experience in conducting field operations.
General Racaj also wished the servicemen a successful mission, emphasizing the importance of professionalism in carrying out the tasks in the next six months. In addition, he pointed out that they have to maintain Macedonian peacekeepers’ reputation acknowledged by appropriate authorities.
The seventh rotation consists of 13 servicemen who had individual and collective military training when all lessons learned from the previous rotations were incorporated. The Commander of the Joint Operations Command Brigadier General Zoran Mileski said that they will be sent to the Train, Advise and Assist Command Capital (TAAC)(C) in Resolute Support Mission (RSM).
Staff Officers of ARM presented their assignments and duties which they will carry out in the next six months to the senior officers of MoD and GS of ARM.
Resolute Support Mission started at the end of December, 2014, in order to train, advise and support Afghan security forces. By taking part in this mission, the Republic of Macedonia confirms its contribution to keeping the peace and security in the world.
