At the military barracks ‘Alekso Demnievski – Bauman’ in Veles a military ceremony was held marking the oath of enlistment of soldiers on voluntary military service from the generation ‘February 2016’.
The ceremony was attended by: the Chief of the Army GS, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, The MOD State Secretary, Mrs. Elizabeta Chupovska Ristova, Commanders and representatives of the subordinate commands and units of the ARM, representatives of the local self-government, representatives of the religious communities, relatives of the soldiers and other guests.
In her address, the State Secretary of the MOD, Mrs. Elizabeta Chupovska Ristova, congratulated the soldiers on their swearing-in, wishing them success in the following three months in the army ranks. She stated that the military profession is a challenge, honor and pride for all ambitious young people and that their mission is to learn as much as possible about the mysteries of the military skills.
The commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Colonel Ljupcho Kostovski, in his speech to the soldiers noted that hard work lies ahead of them in accomplishing the planned training contents. Special emphasis is going to be put on training in handling their personal weapon and equipment, accurate application of the tactics, techniques and procedures during the execution of their tasks in all conditions. Accomplished knowledge and labor will continue to be evaluated, and the same will be one of the elements for those who want to choose the soldier profession in the future.
This is the 28th generation of soldiers on voluntary military service. 73 soldiers swore-in, 4 of which are females.
