The Army search and rescue team that arrived yesterday late afternoon in one of the most affected areas by the catastrophic earthquakes in Turkiye, Karakhkamrash, started search and rescue activities today.
The Army team, consisting of 24 Army personnel from the Special Forces Battalion, two instructors from the Training and Doctrine Command, with two service dogs, searches the terrain in the city of Kahramanmaras and selflessly engages in finding and extracting any survivors from the ruins, together with everyone involved.
On terrain the Army members show their determination and training to perform the task professionally and to give their maximum in finding the victims, and help the citizens of allied Turkiye in every possible way.
The hope that a human life will be saved during the search, where every moment is precious, is also given by the service dogs of the Belgian Shepherd and Labrador breeds, which, together with the instructors, are trained to find people in natural disasters.
