The Chief of General Staff, Major General Vasko Gjurchinovski, is participating at the fifteenth Crisis Management and Security International Conference- ‘Athena 18’, which takes place from 12th -15th November 2018 in Athens, Greece.
Topics of discussion at the conference organized by the Greek Defense General Staff are related to security threats from illegal migration, hybrid threats and international terrorism, crisis management from anticipation to preparation, as well as the necessity of cooperation between international organizations to effectively deal with crisis situations of any form.
The conference is attended by senior military and crisis management experts from 26 countries from the region and further. During his stay in Athens, General Gjurchinovski will visit the Liaison Office of the Republic of Macedonia in the Republic of Greece.
This conference is an important mechanism in sharing experiences in the field of crisis management, which through discussions creates initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the institutions in this field, and thus improve the overall security.
